IN DENMARK.... Tarskov Mølle, just 15 minutes/13 km from Århus - the bustling 2. biggest city in Denmark with marvelous shopping and entertainment possibilities, probably offers one of the very best farm vacation products in Denmark. The
location in the beautiful Århus river valley, with forests, lakes and
nature
trails is the perfect frame for a succesful vacation in the
countryside. The farm with the old millhouse, dating back to the 13th century. The present buildings from the 17th century are built in the traditional danish black & white halftimbered style. There are 4 rooms in the manor house with max.8 beds. During 1994 we restored 2 very nicely furnished apartments in the old watermill, a landmark building from around 1770. The first mill was built here around 1330. The 2 apartments each have up to 6 beds and have all kinds of facilities incl. modern kitchen and cable-TV etc. In total we offer up to 24 beds in different buildings on the farms land, we offer generous discounts during the lowseason periods. On the farm, with approximately 60 acres of farmland, own forests, millpond and lakes, we raise purebred limousine cattle and horses. We have cats, dog, sheep, rabbits and keep poultry. On the fields we grow grass, lucerne, barley, rye and wheat and we have our own river with good trout fishing (Dkk 120/day, Dkk 650/week). We probably have the nicest nature in Jutland, just 13 km from Århus, 80 km from Billund/Legoland, not to forget the lake district approximately 15-20 min. away.The 18 + 5 hole golf course, just 100 yards from our garden offers greenfee discount to our guests. We are just 3½ km from the new highway - Exit no 50- on E45, west of Århus.
